Upset Fish Privacy Policy

This policy covers Upset Fish for Android (com.freezingpoint.upsetfish). Advertising provisions apply to versions with rewarded ads enabled, introduced in the 1.27 update. Earlier versions, including 1.26, do not include the advertising SDK or send advertising data.

Game progress

Level progress, fish flakes, earned items, preferences, and fishbowl care progress are stored on your device. There is no game account or developer-operated cloud save service. Freezing Point does not receive your saved progress. The game has no real-money purchase system.

Optional rewarded ads

Ad-enabled versions use Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google's User Messaging Platform to provide advertising and manage privacy choices. You may choose to watch an ad to earn 5 fish flakes. Watching an ad is not required to play. Where permitted after the consent check, the game initializes the advertising service and loads an ad in advance, so advertising data may be processed before you press Watch ad.

Google's advertising SDK collects and shares your IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions such as launches, taps and video views, diagnostic information such as errors and performance, and device or other identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available. The game does not request GPS location. These data support advertising, measurement and analytics, and fraud prevention, security and compliance. Advertising data is transmitted using TLS encryption. The game does not include a separate analytics SDK.

Google and advertising providers involved in delivering an ad may process this information under their policies and your applicable choices, including for personalized advertising where permitted. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services. Freezing Point does not sell your saved game progress or support correspondence.

Privacy choices

In regions where required, a consent message is presented before ad requests are allowed. When available, open Settings > Ad privacy choices to review or change your selection. Google determines which privacy options are required for your region. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID through Android's advertising privacy settings and manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center. Declining personalized ads does not necessarily stop all advertising-related processing; limited or non-personalized ads may still require technical data.

Android services

Android backup is enabled. Your device or backup provider may back up or transfer local game data according to your settings. The game also supports your device's text-to-speech service. These providers' privacy practices apply to their services.

Retention, deletion and requests

Local progress remains until you clear game storage or uninstall, subject to backup and restore settings. To delete local data, open Android Settings > Apps > Upset Fish > Storage > Clear data. This resets your progress and preferences. Manage backups separately.

Clearing local data does not delete information already held by Google. Google retains advertising and service data according to its retention policy; retention depends on the data and purpose, including security and legal needs. Use Google's privacy controls and privacy request tools for data held by Google. Freezing Point cannot directly identify or erase Google's advertising records.

If you email us, we use your address and the information you send to respond. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle your request and applicable obligations. Contact 4incode@protonmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of information held by Freezing Point, or to ask about privacy rights available in your region. No support messages are sent automatically.

Younger players

Upset Fish is intended for players aged 16 and older and is not directed to children under 16. We do not ask players to provide a name, date of birth or contact information in the game. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can address the request and help direct you to the relevant provider.
