Who we are

Your vehicle information
Caristry stores vehicle profiles, fuel and service history, expenses, trips, notes, accidents, purchases, sales, parts, reminders, attachments and preferences in app storage on your device. No Caristry account is required, and Freezing Point does not operate a server that receives your vehicle records.
Location
If you choose Use current location and grant permission, Caristry obtains a foreground location fix and saves it with the record you choose. Approximate location is supported. Caristry does not track location in the background. You can remove a saved location or revoke permission in Android settings. Opening a location in a map app sends those coordinates to the app you select, which has its own privacy practices.
Photos, documents and receipt scanning
You choose photos and documents through Android file pickers, or take a receipt photo using your camera app. Caristry copies selected files to app storage. Receipt text recognition uses bundled Google ML Kit to process the image on your device. Receipt images and recognized text are not sent to Freezing Point for processing.
Google ML Kit diagnostics
Google ML Kit may collect device and app information, per-installation identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, input and output sizes, feature versions, event types and error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google documents encrypted HTTPS transmission and no onward third-party sharing of this SDK data. This technical data collection is distinct from on-device image recognition. Backups and sharing
Manual exports and optional scheduled backups contain the data you choose to export, including sensitive records, location details and attachments. Backups saved in app storage are removed when the app is uninstalled. A folder you select may belong to a cloud document provider, which handles that data under its own policy. Android system backup and device transfer may also copy app data according to your device settings. Share and export actions send files to your chosen destination; Freezing Point does not receive them automatically. Keep exported files and backups secure.
Retention and deletion
Records remain on your device until you delete them or clear the app data. Delete individual records or vehicles inside Caristry, or use Android Settings → Apps → Caristry → Storage → Clear data to remove all app data. Uninstalling removes app-private data. Exported files, selected-folder backups, files sent to other apps and Android system backups must be deleted separately using those services. Google controls retention of its SDK diagnostic data; Freezing Point cannot access or individually delete it. If you contact support, your email and information you provide are used to handle your request; email 4incode@protonmail.com to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any required retention.
Permissions and your choices
Location and notification permissions are optional. Notifications deliver reminders; location attaches a position only when requested. You can continue logging records without either permission. File access is limited to files or folders you select. Caristry offers optional rewarded ads in version 0.18.0 and later. Freezing Point does not sell vehicle records.
This policy website
This static website is hosted on GitHub Pages. Freezing Point does not add analytics scripts, advertising, tracking pixels or contact forms to these pages. GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to operate and secure its hosting service. Children and changes
Caristry is designed for vehicle owners and drivers and is not directed at children under 13. Freezing Point does not knowingly solicit personal information from children. Contact us with any concerns. This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change; the effective date will be revised.
Optional rewarded advertising (version 0.18.0 and later)
You may choose to watch a Google AdMob rewarded ad for one hour of access to Statistics, Charts or Vehicle parts. Each feature unlocks separately only after the ad SDK confirms the reward. Google Mobile Ads may collect and share IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), advertising and other device identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit. Caristry does not send your vehicle records, receipts, photos, saved GPS positions or notes to the advertising SDK. Google User Messaging Platform handles applicable consent and privacy choices; use Settings → Privacy & support → Ad privacy choices when available to change them. You can reset or delete your advertising ID through Android settings. Core record logging does not require watching ads. Unlock expiry is stored locally and is excluded from backups. Optional permanent unlock
Google Play processes the optional one-time purchase for permanent ad-free access. Caristry receives product identifiers, purchase state, a purchase token and a signed receipt to verify, acknowledge and restore ownership. Verified receipts are stored locally outside backups. Caristry does not receive your payment-card details or send vehicle records with a purchase. Google handles transaction information under its own privacy policy. Ownership is refreshed through Google Play when available; refunds or revoked purchases may remove access. Use Restore purchases with the purchasing Google Play account after reinstalling.
